On October 20th Middletown FFA took 11 students and 8 animals including two goats, a lamb, a bull calf, a mini-horse, two chickens, and a duck, to San Francisco for “San Francisco Farm Day”. The purpose of Farm Day was to teach students from big cities about animals and agriculture. Farm Day provided many amazing opportunities for students to learn about the many ways that farmers and ranchers affect their lives. Teams of farm animals, garden projects, agriculture demonstrations, classroom presentations and hands-on activities engaged and educated both students and teachers across the city on this unforgettable day. We were only stationed at one elementary school but more than 20 schools participated, with over 10,000 kids involved.
